I am working in PHP for more than 10 years now, and it’s been my main focus since 2012. The general trend of web-development caught me, so I dropped Win32 development (apart from maintenance of existing projects) and devoted myself completely to PHP/JS.
I work in core PHP, or I use frameworks such as Symfony and ZEND. I use SQL or NoSQL backends with ease. I’m capable of extending and enhancing existing applications, as well as creating new ones from scratch. This was actually my main vocation until I started working for 2buy1click (Cambridge, UK) where I was involved in extending and reworking existing apps. At the moment, I’m developing a large Symfony4/MongoDB app for an US client. This app is made from scratch, using client’s specification and my engineering.
Recently, I’m moving frontend development focus to React, using Symfony as a primary backend technology. Also, I tend to containerize everything, to speed up the deployment on cloud infrastructure.
I’ve also been working on many various CMS, and I have successfully modified and enhanced them according to client’s needs. I’m familiar with template creation and maintenance, and I can do HTML/CSS upon given design.
I’m also familiar with server maintenance, at least with the part I need to make my apps work. LAMP or WAMP server is OK, though I prefer LAMP and I’m more fluent in it.
